Having mastered our syntax and remixed our memes, LLMs have successfully captured the public's imagination. Their ease of use and entertaining nature are key factors in their popularity. However, discussions around OpenCog Hyperon and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) are now emerging, indicating efforts to develop AI systems that go beyond the capabilities of current LLMs, aiming for a more general and comprehensive form of intelligence.
