On November 12, Visa introduced its Intelligent Commerce platform for the Asia Pacific region. This initiative is not merely the launch of a new payment feature, but rather the development of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered commerce infrastructure designed to address a problem many merchants may not yet have recognized: their websites are being flooded by AI agents.

The platform aims to assist merchants in distinguishing between legitimate shoppers and malicious bots that are increasingly overwhelming websites. Through this, Visa seeks to build an AI foundation for a safer and more efficient digital commerce environment.

This project is planned as a pilot test in Asia Pacific for 2026.
