Microsoft has announced the formation of a new team dedicated to researching superintelligence and other advanced forms of artificial intelligence (AI). This team, named the "MAI Superintelligence Team," will be led by Mustafa Suleyman, who heads Microsoft's AI division overseeing Bing and Copilot.
In a blog post, Suleyman explained that the team's primary focus will be on developing "humanist superintelligence." This initiative underscores Microsoft's commitment to pushing the frontiers of AI, with an emphasis on creating systems that are not only sophisticated but also aligned with human values.
